New life for old cups.
You’d be forgiven for thinking that all used coffee cups get recycled. But you’d be wrong. Still, less than 0.5% of used coffee cups actually get recycled. What a waste!
Our Circular Cup is the OG, the cup that started it all, but that makes it no less amazing how we get from an old used up coffee cup, to a brilliantly brand new and innovative circular product.
It’s the cup made from cups. Read on to find out how we do it.

Capture
The cups are collected from cafes around the UK by waste management companies, also via the National Cup Recycling scheme that many cafes and coffee chains sign up to.
Sort & Process
The used cups and cleaned and shredded, then blended under high pressure with a recycled Polypropylene plastic, this allows the paper to be malleable enough to be used in a variety of manufacturing process. The final resin as such is a blend of 50% used cups and 50% recycled polymer.

Repurpose
The used coffee cup resin is just used on the outer thermal layer of the Circular Cup. The inside components, lid and any components that come into contact with the beverage are made using certified food grade materials to ensure the cup is safe to use.
New Life
The outer is then spun welded to the inner layer, creating the base of the cup. The patented ‘push/push’ lid that we all know and love is then assembled onto the cup base and BOSH the cup is complete, ready for years of use. So, not only are you saving single-use cups every time you use it, you’re giving ‘waste’ a value and making the recycling of other cups a viable solution. And yes of course, it’s also 100% recyclable, that’s the Circular way!
