Recycled Fabric

Last year’s look, this year’s cup.

Fast fashion is easy to buy but hard to get rid of: bad decisions, pre-party panics, spasms of I’ll-see-if-it-fits optimism.

From the truckloads of unwanted clothes collected every day in the UK and Europe, we take what’s not reusable and transform it into injection-moulded fibre pellets. Read on to find out more about how we do it!

Step 1

Capture

Worn out garments get collected and sorted into reusables (vintage market) and non reusables (fibre recovery). We purchase the sorted and so-called “non-reusable” denim to make exciting new products. Giving old favourites a new lease of life as something completely different.

Step 2

Sort & Process

Fibres are recovered from the non-reusable denims in a low energy, mechanical process to produce fibre pellets. The pellets are made from 100% recycled fibres without the use or addition of any nasty chemicals or binders.

Step 3

Repurpose

The fibre pellets get mixed with a recycled Polypropylene that can be injection moulded. The fibres reinforce the plastic and add durability.

This blend of pellets is used on the outer thermal layer of the Circular Cup. The inside components, lid and any components that come into contact with the beverage are made using certified food grade materials to ensure the cup is safe to use.

Step 4

New Life

The finished product has a completely unique appearance, different on every cup, and the products are 100% recyclable (but that should go without saying). And, you know what else, sustainability looks good on you!
